Star Realm VR VR Company Intern Description: Star Realm VR is a virtual reality multiplayer sandbox-building and social platform that allows you to build and decorate floating islands with friends. We emphasize on real-time co-op building and virtual land ownership, aka the “Realms”. You can build your own Realm, gather like-minded people, and have fun talking or playing with them. My role: Usability Researcher, Sound Designer, Game Designer My Contribution:
  • Arrange and host external playtests for a VR company for 4 hours each week; Analyze feedback from players to identify usability issues and areas for improvement in the game
  • Create sound effects to enhance an immersive experience for players
  • Design and document the rules and mechanics for mini games
View WebSITE Echoes Advanced Game Project 2023-2024 Description: Echoes is an isometric roguelike with no attack button. The player needs to attack enemies by dashing to Fae Runes. You will play as Beira, the amnesiac fae queen. You need to regain memories from your corrupted subjects and explore healing and finding self-love in a kingdom that blames you for its fall. My role: Lead UI Designer, Game Designer, Concept Artist My Contribution:
  • Collaborate  with a team of more than 20 people to make an isometric roguelike with no attack button. The player needs to attack enemies by dashing to Fae Runes. The game will be exhibited on USC Game Expo 2024
  • Communicate with engineers, designers and artists to create fantasy-styled UI assets
  • Participate in level design and character design, including detailed sequence, player interactions, and visual elements
  • Design and draw concept art for monsters
UI Drafts and Monster Art Drafts Bomb Buddies Advanced Game Project 2022-2023 Description: Bomb Buddies is a 2-player cooperative AR mobile party game, where the player must win a series of fast-paced microgames in order to prevent a hacker from dropping a major “bomb” and destroying their reputation. The game was exhibited on USC Game Expo 2023 and has been published on App Store. My role: Lead QA My Contribution:
  • Collaborated with a team of more than 30 people to make a mobile party game with series of fun micro-games utilizing AR technology. The game has been published on App Store and was exhibited on USC Game Expo 2023
  • Led the QA team to test and play through each build of the game weekly to identify all errors and record them in the database
  • Provided feedback to engineers, artists and designers and offer suggestions on improving the player experience
View Website Haustorium Global Game Jam 2023 Entry Description: Haustorium is a visual novel made by a team of USC students for the Global Game Jam 2023. It explores the theme of Intergenerational trauma and depression. By acting as a “tree spirit”, the friend of a human boy, you can gradually learn about how depression takes roots inside his heart, and your decisions may influence his fate. My role: UI Artist, Concept Designer My Contribution:
  • Collaborated with a team of 10 people to create a visual novel for Gobal Game Jam 2023
  • Designed the initial game concept and created GUI assets for game art
